Privacy Policy
1. Scope
This policy explains how the Aklee website handles information from visitors. A separate written agreement may apply to information processed for a customer project or paid engagement.
2. Information You Provide
The contact form stores your name, email address, selected topic, and message. The newsletter form stores your email address. This website does not currently collect online payments, so please do not send card details, passwords, or sensitive information through these forms.
3. First-Party Site Analytics
We record a page path without its query, language, referring site hostname, broad device category, and coarse country and city when trusted hosting headers provide them. A daily-changing hash derived from the network address and user agent supports approximate daily visitor counts. The analytics record does not store the raw network address, the full user agent, or a persistent analytics cookie, and collection is skipped when a Global Privacy Control signal is received.
4. Optional AI Assistant
If you choose to use the site assistant, your message is sent through our server to Anthropic so a response can be generated. The Aklee application does not add chat messages to its website database, but the provider may process them under its own terms. Do not include confidential, personal, or sensitive information in a chat message.
5. Cookies and Administrative Access
A language preference cookie remembers English or French. An HTTP-only session cookie is used when an authorised administrator signs in. Administrative records can include a name, email address, password hash, role, and account timestamps. Public account registration is not available.
6. Use, Sharing, Retention, and Security
We use website information to answer enquiries, maintain the newsletter list, understand aggregate site use, provide the optional assistant, and operate restricted administrative tools. Hosting, database, and AI providers process information where needed to run those features, and processing locations may differ. Retention depends on the purpose and applicable obligations. We use access controls and other technical safeguards, but no online service can promise absolute security.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You can manage cookies and Global Privacy Control through your browser. You may contact us to leave the newsletter list or request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you. Available rights and any exceptions depend on the law that applies to you.
